Lore

Chen grew up in the Hazhadal Barrens, where his clan used an ancient form of animal enthrallment to survive on the desert's edge. They kept locuthi dragons to melt sand into glass tubes for rainwater, but life was always a struggle. One day they ambushed the wrong caravan, and the Knights of the Fold cut through them. Chen fought until he was on his knees, and when the executioner raised his blade, he offered his neck with humility. Moved by his courage, the knight gave him a choice: death or conversion. Chen chose faith, and now he hunts unbelievers with a convert's zeal, his animal powers at full strength, to bring them to their final reward.
