There's a story about why our world is so strange, full of different creatures and cultures. It goes back to the Titans, beings who were there when the universe began, carrying the echo of creation. They wanted to make things too, so they shaped matter with hammer and heat. But when they got bored with rock and metal, they turned their skills on themselves, becoming beings of great endurance. They even tried to forge reality itself. The one we call Elder Titan was a pioneer, always experimenting. But one experiment went wrong, and he broke something that couldn't be fixed. He fell into his own ruined creation, a shattered world, and there he lives among the cracks and shards, along with other lost fragments. And so this world is like an island of castaways from a forgotten wreck. Elder Titan blames himself for the mess, and he's always trying to put it back together, hoping to mend his own broken soul and maybe the world too.
