Team Yandex delivered a 2-0 win over Team Nemesis at PGL Wallachia Season 9, ending both maps quickly in a one-sided series. The sweep was one of the defining results of the event’s second day: Team Nemesis managed only five kills in each game, while Team Yandex closed the series in a combined 54 minutes. The result also arrived alongside Team Cobra’s 2-1 victory over South American rival PlayTime, where Parker produced the decisive final-map performance.
Team Yandex established control through two different standout performances. ATF drove the opening game on Timbersaw, while CHIRA_JUNIOR led the second on Monkey King. The final kill scores were 39-5 and 38-5, leaving Team Nemesis with only ten kills across the series. The maps lasted 26 and 28 minutes, an exact combined playing time of 54 minutes. That total is worth stating precisely because the individual durations give a clearer record than rounding the whole match to a 50-minute series. The result followed Yandex’s 2:1 first-round win over MOUZ. By avoiding another deciding game, the updated roster moved to 2-0 in the Swiss stage with less strain and placed itself one victory from a playoff berth.

Team Yandex leave no opening for Nemesis
Team Yandex’s first map against Team Nemesis lasted 26 minutes. ATF’s Timbersaw finished with a 14/0/5 score, a performance that matched the overall direction of the game as Team Yandex built toward a 39-5 final kill count. Team Nemesis’ mid-laner ended the map 0/7/2, while their Keeper of the Light recorded 0/12/2. The second map took only slightly longer at 28 minutes, and the result was nearly as severe. CHIRA_JUNIOR’s Monkey King posted 14/3/11 as Team Yandex reached a 38-5 kill score. Team Nemesis conceded with the score at that margin, completing the 2-0. The separate leading performances are important because they show Team Yandex did not rely on one player alone to secure the sweep: a different player topped each map’s headline stat line.
The map record shows why the sweep changed Yandex’s tournament position so quickly. Both games ended in under half an hour, and Nemesis never reached double-digit kills in either. Yandex also found a different core to lead each win, reducing the series to more than one hot individual performance. After two rounds, the team joined Xtreme Gaming, LGD Gaming and Natus Vincere in the 2-0 pool. The modified Swiss format rewards the next result directly: three series wins secure a playoff place, while three defeats eliminate a team. Yandex’s sweep did not qualify it immediately, but it created a match for advancement against another unbeaten side.
A 2-0 meeting with NAVI comes next
Team Yandex’s next scheduled opponent is Natus Vincere, who also won both of their opening series. The winner will reach the three victories needed to enter the playoffs. The loser will remain alive in the Swiss stage at 2-1, so the match is an opportunity to qualify rather than an elimination series. That setting gives the Nemesis result a practical consequence beyond the kill totals. Yandex earned the shortest route to the bracket and arrived there after showing two different map leaders. Nemesis, meanwhile, fell to 1-1 after opening the event with a win. The table keeps the decisive figures from the sweep together, while the list identifies the lineups that produced them.
- Team Yandex: watson, CHIRA_JUNIOR, ATF, Saksa and Malady.
- Team Nemesis: JaCkkY, Mo13ei, SaberLight, Jhocam and NARMAN.

| Map | Team Yandex result |
|---|---|
| Game 1 | Won 39-5 in 26 minutes; ATF went 14/0/5 on Timbersaw. |
| Game 2 | Won 38-5 in 28 minutes; CHIRA_JUNIOR went 14/3/11 on Monkey King. |
Yandex now have a direct route into the playoffs against NAVI. The Nemesis sweep earned that opportunity through 54 minutes of control, but the third Swiss win still has to be secured against another unbeaten team. A victory would complete the group-stage task immediately; a defeat would return Yandex to the Swiss pool at 2-1 rather than eliminate them.
